Bhupesh Mehta is an active community leader, currently serving as the Chairman of JITO (Jain International Trade Organization) USA, Washington DC chapter and Board of Trustee of the Jain Society of Metropolitan Washington. He has previously served as President and Board of Trustee of the Jain Society of Metropolitan Washington and held various roles on the core Executive Committee for over 14 years. With more than 20 years of volunteer experience in charitable organizations, he has held multiple positions in the executive committees of various organizations.
He is 2022 Gold medal Recipient of the Presidential Volunteer Service Award.
He was awarded JAINA Leadership award in 2013 from Federation of Jain Associations in North America for his outstanding Leadership skills and Selfless Dedication in Promoting Jain Community. (Souvenir page)
He was also awarded a Leadership award in 2010 from Jain Society of Metropolitan Washington for his excellent leadership and dedication in serving the community.
He is an active member of the Temple Committee of JSMW from 2009 helping the organization to build the new temple for the community. He helped raise funds for the community. He was actively involved in the Interfaith Conference of Metropolitan Washington.
He had an active participation in organizing the Legislative conferences (click here to see the pictures) at the Capitol Hill. He was an active part of the team for the HR 5202 Plant-based Healthy School lunch program (partner with PCRM). He was part of Jaina 2007 invitation committee, Jaina 2011 programming committee, and Jaina 2013 Cultural Committee.

He was a guest panelist speaker on radio station WFMD AM930 which was five-part series of 30 minutes each broadcasted weekly (Starting April 12th, 2009 to May 10th 2009).
He has been called as a guest speaker to many schools, universities, organization and youth camps to speak about Jainism and Jain way of life.

Delivered motivational and inspirational speeches during Mahavir Jayanti program (2009, 2010 and 2011) and Swapna Ceremony program (2010 and 2011).
He is a Leader, a Motivation speaker, Religious teacher and strongly believes in Jain principles and philosophies.
